ABOUT THE FILM
Anoosh and Arash are at the center of Tehrans underground techno scene. Tired of hiding from the police and their stagnating career, they organize one last manic techno rave under dangerous circumstances in the desert. Back in Tehran they try their luck selling their illegally printed music album without permission. When Anoosh is arrested, there seems to be no hope left. But then they receive a phone call from the biggest techno festival in the world - Lethargy techno festival in Zurich. Once landed in Switzerland, the haze of the instant euphoria evaporates quickly when the seriousness of the situation starts to dawn on them.
Susanne Regina Meurs followed Anoosh and Arash from September 2013 to August 2014, during a crucial phase in their lives. She films their life in Tehran, where they are constantly on their guard, and captures them as they experience the freedom of Switzerland. Most of the footage was shot using mobile phones, for reasons of security. The result is a raw but poetic story of two young men at a crossroads in their lives.

GHAHVEH KHANEH - Persian Tea Salon
Ghahveh khaneh has been around since the early 1900s and is a common type of tea house in Iran. It oddly enough translates to coffee house, but no coffee is served in these tea houses, they only serve lots of freshly brewed black tea with an abundant supply of sugar cubes. We will build small ghahveh khanehs for you on Tuesday, where you can talk with your friends or make new one’s.

Gunnesbo is a golden Persian prince down in the dirty south. His rhythms are brutal and distorted but there’s a big dose of playfulness in everything Gunnesbo touches. The result is skewed and surreal without ever getting stiff or cold. He has been featured on Noisey/Vice and released two music videos so far.
