The Grown Ups
Who you love and where you work are things all adults should decide themselves. But what if you still are seen as a child?
For almost their whole life a group of friends 40 year olds have been classmates. They have passed all their grades and now dont want to continue complying with school obligations. They outlive their parents and they are aware that they have been in school longer than most teachers and they are sick and tired of being students. They are grownups and they want to be treated as grownups. They always believe that when their parents died, they would be able to do everything they weren't allowed before, like living on their own, driving, hanging out, having sex, being parents, getting married, and having a real job. But things are not changing for them, they have Down Syndrome and they have to deal with the frustration of living as if they were still ten years old, when they are almost fifty. Director Maite Alberdi draws us into the microcosm of these young adults through her intimate observation, free from commentary.

LIVE PERFORMANCE: "MAKT" by Moomsteatern Malmö
What is power? - Money? Education? Politics? The right to decide over your own life? Work? Language? The ability to express your opinion?
With the director Helena Röhr, Moomsteaterns ensemble has made a play inspired by these questions, and where the actor's view on power is essential. On this night, they will do an exclusive perfomance, giving us a preview-exctact on their play, which premieres on April 8th. After the film, there will be a Q&A about power with the director and one of the actors.
What is Moomsteatern?
Moomsteatern is a professional theatre in Malmö with employed actors who has learning disabilities - something that makes this theatre unique in Sweden, and internationally.

DJ's GÖSTA & VERA WITTING
Brother and sister Gösta and Vera Witting will be playing some blues, folk and jazz tunes while you enjoy a glass of wine, some popcorn or some soup before the film. AND Gösta will play some live harmonica along with his DJing.
