Fotbollens Sista Proletärer is a Swedish documentary from 2011 by Martin Jönsson and Pontus Hjorthén for IFK Göteborg. The incredible story of the chefs, plumbers and recreation leaders in IFK has its origin in the 1970s Gothenburg, a distinct working class city with heavy engineering in the yards and Volvo, when Swedish society was an admired role model around the world. The film reflects the 1980s changing societal ideals and how the Swedish model in Sven-Göran Eriksson's vintage shook Football Europe.

IFK players were regular guys who worked on the day and trained in the evening. Team was developed in Sven-Göran Eriksson coaching to challenge European professional clubs and won the 1982 surprising UEFA Cup after final win against Hamburger SV and later semi-final of the European Cup Champion 1986; they best players then became foreign professionals and new players came to buy into investments on the European game.

Participants include Torbjörn Nilsson, Glenn Hysen, Dan Corneliusson, Ruben Smith, Leif "Loket" Olsson, Sven-Göran Eriksson and Tord Holmgren. The story re-created using images from various European television archives and old discarded film reels from the recesses of Swedish Television's dusty archives have been recovered. With camera angles never before seen and audio tapes that no one ever heard before we get to share new facts and secrets about the events in the film almost feels like dreams from our collective consciousness.
