Happy Winter

The beach at Mondello, Sicily, attracts few foreign tourists but many Italians. They all spend their summer in one of the hundreds of the little beach houses. The beach is a summer fiesta and a microcosm of Italian life, including the financial crisis. Happy Winter and it’s affectionate approach wins our sympathy for the Sicilians, as they reach the end of their vacation and wish each other "Buon inverno," or "Happy winter."
