The Case Officer

A young case officer at the Swedish Migration Board. An asylum seeking family. The family is one of several thousand that are dealt with by the Board every year. It is the officer’s task to find out whether their status is dire enough to entitle them to stay in Sweden.To her, decisions such as these have become an everyday affair; to the family it is crucial. War, oppression, rape, torture, torn families and broken dreams. The case officer hears it all.
The Case Officer is a psychological thriller set in the offices of the Swedish Migration Board. For the first time the story is told from the perspective of an asylum officer.
