Toxic Playground

Lars Edman, William Johansson, 70 min, Sweden.

The documentary "Toxic Playground" tells the story of how a large Swedish mining company in the 80s send their waste to toxic heavy metals to a city in Chile. The idea was that it would be reprocessed and disposed of by a Chilean company. So never happened. Instead forgotten waste piles away, and the children began to play on them. But then one day the children began to get sick... A film that raises questions about equity and morality. And who bears responsibility when people are mistreated in a world of multinational companies.
