Dior and I takes Kalmar
We’ll be showing Dior and I at four Doc Lounges this spring - including in Malmö on February 10 - but Doc Lounge Kalmar has already kicked off the tour with a truly fashionable event!
Held at the impressive Kalmar Castle, the event completely sold out. Alongside the film, special guest Bea Szenfeld, who has designed clothes for artists such as Björk and Lady Gaga, talked about her new collection, Haute Papier - which, as the name implies, is made completely out of paper. She also let the audience into some funny behind the scenes stories from fashion house Dior.
"Reclaim Paris as the city of passion and beauty” was the night's slogan, and it seems like they pulled that off with audience members commenting they felt transported to the French capital for the evening. “Kalmar kind of went bananas for the event, mostly for Bea but also for the film,” project manager Christina Schöning tells us “We had around 240 people, from ages 16-76 (and one baby!), packed into the venue. It was a lot of work, but it was totally worth it.”
Doc Lounge will also be screening Dior and I in Malmö, Göteborg, and Stockholm. You can read more about the Kalmar event in Barometern (Swedish), see some photos below and learn more about the movie (and see the trailer) in our film archive.
