Doc Lounge at Doc Point!
This week we are traveling north from Doc Lounge HQ in Malmö to the Doc Point festival in Helsinki. Doc Point, Finland's most important documentary festival, brings together audiences and industry around an innovative and diverse programme of films and special events... and we hear they also host a mean ice swimming and sauna party!
We are looking for exciting films for distribution in the Doc Lounge Network, and also meeting with established and new partners from the Nordic countries. Doc Point festival recently took over the running of Doc Lounge Helsinki, so we are particularly happy to visit their festival and discuss plans for the coming Doc Lounge year.
We will be joined at Doc Point by representatives from some of the Finnish Doc Lounge clubs including - Doc Lounge Turku (Milla-Maria Joki), Doc Lounge Helsinki (Liina Sipilä, Ulla Bergström), Doc Lounge Tampere (Liina Härkönen, Salla Lehtikangas) and the chairman of Doc Lounge Finland/ The Finnish Film Clubs Association Sami Jahnukainen.
