Doc Lounge inspiration at IDFA
11 out of 19 Nordic Doc Lounge cities were represented at IDFA, where the yearly Doc Lounge meet-up took place 17-19 November. On the Saturday morning 20 local Doc Lounge project managers from Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway met up at the world famous cultural center Melkweg for a four hour Doc Lounge workshop. The day started with a vist from Ove Rishöj Jensen from EDN (European Documentary Network) presenting their international work and was followed by the Head of program of IDFA, Martinj te Pas, and IDFA programmer Jasper Hokken sharing their unique experiences on programming one of the biggest and most important documentary festivals in the world. The workshop also included internal work and an outreach session together with the film team behind the Doc Lounge opening film for next year.. Stay tuned!
And of course we have been watching tons of great films, attended seminars and had a lot of fun!
We are now full of ideas and new experiences and looking forward to create a new Doc Lounge season!
Thanks to our workshop guests for taking their time to be with us and thanks to IDFA and Melkweg for having us. We'll be back!
