We are thrilled to announce Doc Lounge Official Selection Autumn 2018 - a selection of award winning, eye-opening and touching documentaries with stories from all over the world!
This autumn we will let you follow Swedish Gudrun Schyman in The Feminist through her everyday life and political breakthroughs, meet passionate teenage innovators who are creating cutting-edge solutions for the world’s environment in Inventing Tomorrow and get to know Mette Holm who spent thousands of hours translating Murakami’s puzzling and widely discussed stories to his Danish readers in Dreaming Murakami. Hear the history of Ethiopian music told from the perspective of Francis Falceto and Ethiopian musicians in Ethiopiques - Revolt of the Soul, experience voyeuristic perspectives from a military drones in the short film Find, Fix, Finish and discover the desire to be wealthy at any cost in Generation Wealth. Get to know Vivienne Westwood and her fashion, her personality, her activism and her cultural importance in Westwood - Punk, Icon, Activist, follow a Danish lawyers hard work for justice in False Confessions and follow four transmen’s life paths toward stepping on stage at Trans FitCon, the only all-transgender bodybuilding competition in the world in Man Made. Last but not least - we invite you to follow the Swedish RnB artist Leslie Tay in the film Leslie on Fire* about dreams and adversities, will power and patience, masculinity norms and the liberating power of creativity.
