Doc Lounge prison tour starting next week!
Earlier this year, we released the news that Doc Lounge and documentary filmmaker Jessica Nettelbladt together with Swedish prison service are planning a unique prison tour of film screenings in Swedish womens prisons. We can now reveal more about the exiting concept including both music and creative workshops.
The tour will start at the Ringsjön prison on June 12, followed by another screening at Ystad prison on June 14. During fall we will continue on to prisons in Göteborg, Stockholm, Örebro and Sundsvall. Every event will contain a screening of Jessica Nettelbladts film MonaLisa Story and creative workshop led by Jessica, focusing on the experience and feelings of the inmates, resulting in a digital platform and printed book. Musician Cecilia Nordlund will join the tour for the first two screenings, adding music to set the mood to the events. Nordlund was the lead singer in rock band Sould and is one of the founders of Popkollo.
