Time moves fast when you’re having fun and the end of the year is already here! It’s been an amazing 2015 here at Doc Lounge with great events and fantastic films! We’d like to extend our biggest thanks to all our partners, funders and our audience - all the people who keep coming back to their local Doc Lounge to see the best and latest from the world of documentary film - for helping us make this year such a success. Thank you so much!
Doc Lounge will be back across the Nordic countries at the end of January, but we'll announce our Official Selection a few weeks earlier. So keep your eyes open! We got a lot of exiting films coming up!
Holiday means some extra time to watch films! We’d like to give you a few tips for Doc Lounge films we think you should see, now available as Video on Demand. Just click on the film titles below and follow the links form our film archive to their video pages.
First up is Fredrik Gertten’s Bikes vs Cars. We've shown this film throughout the year - we even helped out during its international premiere at SXSW in Austin, Texas, during the summer - and it's always been incredibly popular. Don't miss it!
If you want to learn about more alternative ways to do activism, don't look further than The Yes Men are Revolting as the Yes Men fight climate change in their own special way.
Another film that was incredibly popular at Doc Lounge 2015 was Phie Ambo's Good Things Await, about the biodynamic farmer Niels Stokholm and his struggles against an uncaring system.
