Oh how time flies when you are having fun! Another year has passed at the Doc Lounge Head Office with plenty of highlights to look back at!
Around our Doc Lounge network, 67 fantastic new documentaries were showed during 194 events/screenings in 27 cities across the Nordic countries. We hosted Doc Lounge Live events with director visits for the films Punk Voyage, Gudrun / The Feminist and Dreaming Murakami, live broadcasted to libraries and culture houses across Sweden.
2018 was the year Doc Lounge registered as an official Swedish distributor, releasing Punk Voyage in February and Leslie on Fire in November. We kicked off our exchange and education project Doc Lounge Caucasus in collaboration with film festivals in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
We also launched our new project Doc Lounge Impact Hub, with the aim of creating social change and a new strand for innovative documentary distribution. New impact campaigns are planned for 2019, so keep your eyes open!
We would like to thank all our partners, collaborators, financiers and staff. We couldn't have done all of this without you. Now, the Doc Lounge Head Office will be closed for a couple of weeks. We look forward to new exiting plans in 2019!
