Speed Sisters director Amber Fares comes to Doc Lounge Live

We’re incredibly happy and proud that Amber Fares, the director of Speed Sisters, will be joining us as our livestreaming project Doc Lounge Live returns on December 1. During Doc Lounge Live we livestream Doc Lounge Malmö’s event at Babel to six libraries and culture houses across southern Sweden. Amber will be there to talk about her film and answer questions from the audience.

Before the film Swedish/Palestinian artist Hanouneh, who appears on the Speed Sisters soundtrack, will play live together with pianist Dennis Rosendahl. Huffington Post called Hanouneh a “musical sensation” and that she “successfully fuses dancehall beats with Arab sounds and English lyrics”. We’re big fans of hers at Doc Lounge and can’t wait to see her on our stage.

For the Live audience, we’re offering both a fantastic film and the opportunity to join the discussion with Amber Fares through text messages and social media after the film; you’ll get the full Doc Lounge experience without having to travel all the way to Malmö. You’ll also get to take part of exclusive content, like interviews with guests and audience before the event itself kicks off.

Starting at 7pm on December 1, Doc Lounge Live will be streamed to the following locations; check the venues' individual Facebook events for more information.
