Martha & Niki

In 2010 MArtha Nabwire and Nik Tsappos took part in largest street dance competition in the world. The duo was crowned the world champions. It was the first time a woman duo won the world championship. Martha & Niki is a story about friendship and love for dance. It is a story about dreams and finding your path in life. 

After the movie there will be a panel on the themes of the movie.

Paula Puumalainen - dancer and dance teacher
Mervi Heikkinen - gender studies researcher

The panel will be moderated by journalist Noora Vaarala.

Deejay for the night will be Dj Tiskijukkapekka.

Martha and Nicki is presented in collaboration with Moving Docs - a EDN initiative supported by Creative Europe, with the aim to create innovative outreach strategies and provide opportunities for urban and rural European audiences to enjoy regular screenings of documentary films through a wide variety of media and platforms.
